The Spring Youth Tennis League Program is currently being organized by the Scarsdale Recreation Department and area neighborhood athletic associations, including the Edgewood Athletic Association.  Boys and girls tennis teams for grades 4 - 8 are now being formed. 

The matches between Scarsdale neighborhood tennis teams will be held at the Middle School courts for 7 weeks beginning on Saturday, April 28th.  Currently, teams will play a one hour match per week on a weekday evening, Saturday or Sunday afternoon depending upon the grade of your child.

The matches will consist of single and doubles competition.  Each player will have the opportunity to learn something about the sport of tennis, participate on a team with friends, and enjoy competing against the other elementary schools. 

There are no formalized practices but we do encourage your child to participate in the tennis clinics offered through the Recreation Department. 

For children in grades 4 - 8 interested in playing recreation tennis this spring, there is a mandatory online registration.  Register at http://www.scarsdale.com under the Recreation section under Sports Center and then Child League Registration.

All team members are required to purchase a 2008 Tennis Youth Tennis League Permit ($30.00).  The Junior Tennis Permit form is available in the spring/summer brochure that you will receive in the mail.  Forms are available at the Recreation Department.
